What’s Playing on My Workout Playlist this Week

We’re music fanatics here at Blitz!  The music is constantly blaring out of the speakers with everything from rap to top 40’s, we love the diversity.  There’s a lot of research on how the tempo of the music defines the pace of the workout and anyone who works out can definitely agree.

I’ve always been a fan of consistent tempo music while running and I’d definitely recommend checking out Gareth Emery’s Podcasts.  This week is going to be another hard hitting week for me with two gruelling workouts a day because of the bodybuilding workout schedule.  I thought I’d share my top 10 songs that are on my playlist and also see what’s on your playlists too!

1. Lonely Boy – The Black Keys

2. War Pigs – Cake

3. Thunderstruck – AC-DC

4. Ruff Ryders’ Anthem – DMX

5. Run Home – Priestess

6. Freak on a Leash – Korn

7. Dirt off Your Shoulder / Lying From You (Mash-Up) – Jay-Z / Linkin Park

8. Stereo – The Watchmen

9. My Body – Young the Giant

10. California Love – 2Pac

So, what’s playing on your workout playlist right now?  Share in the comments section below and we’d be happy to put it on our playlist here at Blitz!

  1. Haha, I like working out to JLo’s On the Floor and most anything Katy Perry. I doubt that fits your demo much. 😉 However, I totally agree that listening to the music that resonates with you can really help your performance. Last night’s walk was still brisk, but it was to Adele and Sarah McLachlan (so girlie, I know), but it was totally what I needed. Though Stereo by The Watchmen is an awesome tune. 🙂

  2. I love seeing songs to add to my playlist! Although Korn?? LOL I love Because I’m Awesome by the Dollyrots, Work it Out by Lil Jon, and Feel so Close by Calvin Harris. Hope to see some more suggestions!

  3. My current favourite running songs are I can only imagine David Guetta and Not exactly Deadmau5(almost 8min long and nice consistent beat!). Strength training it’s Pumped up kicks and just about anything Eminem.
