Amy’s Turkey Patties

Ground Turkey Patties.

The other day I was looking for a new way to utilize the ground turkey I had in my freezer. So often I am looking for ways to have something that I can make on Sunday night and have as a quick grab and go during the week! It helps me to continue to eat clean even when I might not have time to cook during the week.

The nice thing about these is that they don’t take long to cook and you can store them in your fridge to have with a salad or steam up some frozen veggies for a quick healthy dinner or even just on their own as a snack!

1 package of ground turkey

1 egg

1/3 cup of rolled oats

1 1/2 tbsp of Italian Seasoning

2 tsp of Garlic Powder

Olive oil or coconut oil for the skillet.

Mix Turkey, egg and rolled oats together in a bowl. Be mindful to add the oatmeal just a bit at a time until the mixture has a consistency that allows it to be rolled but not too dry. Add your seasonings next and mix all together.

Warm your skillet to medium heat with a bit of olive oil or coconut oil to coat the bottom of the pan to prevent the patties from sticking.

Start rolling the turkey mixture into palm size balls and flatten them to about an inch thick and place them in the skillet, cover and cook for 4 minutes on one side before flipping the patties and cooking them on the opposite side, keeping the skillet covered to keep the patties moist. Keep an eye on the patties until they are cooked through.

I eat them on their own with a bit of hot sauce or you could make the patties a bit bigger and use them as a burger. ENJOY!

Makes 8 small patties.
