Try Something New for 30 Days

You’ve probably know of someone that is right now doing a 30 day challenge. They’re everywhere this time of year. Personally, I’ve heard of people doing a 30 day challenge for weight loss, a 30 day challenge for sleeping more and even a 30 day challenge to eating healthier. it’s crazy to watch how many people do these 30 day challenges to improve their lives and then once day 31 hits their back into their old habits.

Robyn and I started our own monthly 30 day challenges last year at this time. We started in January with something small, 30 days of going to bed by 10pm. What we found was although we didn’t really see much difference in our energy levels for the first 20-23 days, near the end of the 30 days we really started to notice that we had more energy and were in much better moods at home and work.

In February, we decided to read a little bit every day. We set the bar really low on this one to a minimum of one novel size page a day. By the end of the month, we noticed our conversations skills drastically improve and found ourselves wanting to engage in deep conversation much more than usual.

So, where did we get the idea for doing these 30 day challenges that have slowly improved our lives? of course!

In the video below, Matt Cutts talks about real life 30 day challenges that you can do with yourself. Matt shares some of his own 30 day challenge examples but the point of it all is that you should constantly be challenging yourself to be better than who you are right now.

  2. That’s fantastic Jennifer! 30 day challenges are great. I’m embarking on a 90 day challenge as of today to be in the best shape of my life by the time I turn 28 in September.
