Getting Fit and Helping Others: A Perfect Combination!

When we began the Fit in 50 Beginner Fitness Class in Northeast Edmonton this spring, it was intended to be a six week class where people could start (or restart) their fitness journey regardless of their fitness level, age, or prior experience. It would also give people the opportunity to support a larger cause — the Blitzing Poverty in Mexico 2014 home building trip that is taking place in August. The usual class fees were waived and participants could donate as they were willing to.

Fast forward 7 weeks, and the class is still running, donations have exceeded all expectations, and a great little community has been formed. What a gift this has become for instructors and participants alike! The new plan is to run the class until the end of June, take a break for the summer months, and pick it up again in September.

We meet every Monday evening at 7:00 pm for 50 minutes in a great facility: Edmonton Christian School – Northeast Campus, located at 5940 – 159 Avenue.

Upcoming Class Schedule: June 16, 23, 30 from 7:00 – 7:50 PM
