Fitness with a Deck of Cards: adding some randomized fun into your workouts!

Deck of Cards workoutWe recently tried a different way to workout using a deck of cards and we had so much fun with it we thought we would share it with you.  So grab a deck of playing cards let’s have some fun!

How to do this workout:

  • pick four exercises: e.g. push ups, mountain climbers, squat jumps, plank knee tucks
  • assign these exercises to the suits in the deck:
  • the numbers on the cards denotes the number of reps you need to do when you get to the face cards:
    • Jacks are 11 reps
    • Queens are 12 reps
    • Kings are 13 reps
    • Aces are 14 reps
  • Shuffle the deck of cards and lay out 4 cards in a row.  You can lay out more cards than this too!
  • These are the four exercises you do in the circuit and the number of reps you do per exercise.
  • Complete the circuit, then lay out another 4 cards.
  • Finish the deck and repeat!

Try out this workout, it’s challenging and keeps the body guessing!
