Blitz & The Triforce of Power

Hey fit geeks!

Whenever I look at the Blitz logo, something always pops out at me and if you enjoyed a certain Nintendo game then I’m sure it pops out at you too.

This is the Triforce from Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda series:

Triforce

One of the most iconic symbols in all of video games, the Triforce consists of three distinct entities represented by the three smaller triangles. The triangles are referred to as the Triforce of Power, the Triforce of Wisdom, and the Triforce of CourageThe Triforce is present in some shape of form in every game in the Legend of Zelda series, sometimes as an object that has to be obtained, other times simply as part of the heraldry used in the Kingdom of Hyrule. Those three parts of the Triforce are normally distributed amongst the series’ three main characters: Ganon has the Triforce of Power, Princess Zelda has the Triforce of Wisdom while hero Link has the Triforce of Courage. (Props to Kotaku’s The Real History of the Triforce for the blurb)

Now… take a good look at the Blitz logo.

Notice anything? Look a bit closer… THERE IT IS! Right above the ‘I’ in Blitz. It’s the Triforce!!!

Now I know what some of you are thinking. What’s the Triforce doing in the Blitz logo? Well I’ll feed you baby birds. I have a theory.

By applying all three qualities of the Triforce, power, wisdom and courage, there’s nothing that can stop you from reaching your fitness goals.

I feel power in the rush I get after a workout and it’s power that allows me to be my own hero. Power pushes you farther than you’ve ever gone and helps conquer any obstacle in your fitness journey.

Trying out different classes and training programs gives you the knowledge and experience you need to obtain wisdom. Wisdom will help you find the workouts that will give you the best results.

And finally, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for courage. Pushing through fear and uncertainty, I signed up for the 90-Day Challenge and I haven’t looked back since. Courage motivates me to boldly go where no geek has gone before and it can motivate you too!

So there you have it. Why I think one of video games most recognizable icons is embedded in the logo of this fine fitness facility. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go frolic in Hyrule until my next HIIT class.

Namaste,

Steve
