Women’s 30 minute Fitness @ Blitz!

Think you don’t have time to work out? You do! 30 minutes of a relatively high intensity workout boosts your metabolism and tones muscles.

“Moderately strenuous exercise, about 30 minutes a day, can lead to enormous benefits in terms of your mood, health, weight and the ability to live an independent and fulfilling life. The exercise doesn’t need to be athletic or difficult. Studies have shown that simply walking at a brisk pace for 30 minutes or more on most days can lead to significant health improvements. Add simple strengthening exercises two or three times a week and the benefits are even greater.”[1]


This is the principle idea behind the newest class to hit Blitz Conditioning-The Blitz Booty Bootcamp is 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week, of moderately high intensity training developed just for women. We developed the class to be a focused full body workout combining cardio exercises with bodyweight and resistance training to provide a well rounded workout that provides maximum benefits with minimal time commitment.


Here at Blitz we are always looking for new ways to connect with our community and help more and more people integrate fitness into their day-to-day routine. We believe in the benefits that a regular fitness regime can have on a persons mental and physical well being and we are passionate about helping as many people as we can reap these benefits. From my perspective as a female and as a trainer I understand that there are a lot of stigmas associated with the gym and working out that can deter women. Not to mention women tend to multi-task and have a lot of commitments. I really wanted to create a space and an outlet for women that would be comfortable, challenging and realistic for them to incorporate fitness into their day to day routine.

By creating a 30 minute class that is female only we hoped to remove some of the barriers that may have been present for women in regards to working out. Our Blitz Booty Bootcamp is something that women in Edmonton can call their own while reaping the many benefits of a physically active lifestyle, have fun doing it and not feeling like they are sacrificing anything along the way. We are currently on DAY 4 of our bootcamp and so far we are hearing great things!:
